A human is a type of mammal with large brains and that walks on two legs.
About Humans
- A human has very little fur.
- Humans wear clothes to help keep warm.
- Humans build and live in houses to protect them from the conditions outside.
- You should be able to point to these parts of the human body:
- Head
- Face
- Neck
- Shoulders
- Arm
- Elbow
- Hand
- Fingers and Thumbs
- Leg
- Knee
- Foot

Lifecycle of a Human
A human starts as a foetus in the womb. | When a human is born it starts as a baby. | When humans start to walk they are called toddlers. | A human becomes a child next. |
When a human child reaches puberty they are called an adolescent. | After puberty a human is called an adult. | A very old adult is called an 'elderly' person. |
Organ Systems
- Organ systems are groups of organs that work together to do a specific job.
- Humans have a number of organ systems including:
- Muscular System: Allows us to move.
- Skeletal System: Supports our bodies.
- Digestive System: Gets nutrients from our food.
- Circulatory System: Transports oxygen and nutrients around the body.

- Organ systems are groups of organs that work together to do a specific job.
- Humans have a number of organ systems including:
- Muscular System: Allows us to move.
- Skeletal System: Supports our bodies.
- Digestive System: Gets nutrients from our food.
- Circulatory System: Transports oxygen and nutrients around the body.
- Breathing System: Takes in Oxygen from the air and releases Carbon Dioxide.
- Excretory System: Removes waste from the blood.
- Reproductive System: This may be the Female Reproductive System or the Male Reproductive System.
