Meaning
Implantation is a stage of conception in which an embryo sticks to the wall of the uterus and is surrounded by tissue from the lining of the uterus.
About Implantation
- If implantation does not occur the embryo is aborted by the uterus.
- Following implantation the tissue surrounding the embryo becomes the placenta and amnion.
