Key Stage 4

Meaning

The steady state theory is an abandoned scientific theory which suggested the universe never had a beginning and that as the galaxies move apart from one another, new galaxies would come into existence to fill the gaps.

About The Steady State Theory

The steady state theory was abandoned because it could not explain the Cosmic Microwave Background radiation.

Evidence

Redshift - Redshift shows that all of the galaxies are moving away from each other at very high speed.
