Meaning
A black dwarf is a star in the final stage of a low mass star's life in which it no longer radiates any light because it is so cold.
About Black Dwarves
- When a white dwarf radiates its thermal energy it gets darker and darker until it stops radiating light and becomes a black dwarf.
- There are no black dwarves in the universe yet because the universe hasn't been around long enough for white dwarves to have cooled down sufficiently.
- A black dwarf is a cold, dense ball of mostly Iron around the size of planet Earth.
