Meaning
Thermal contact describes when objects are able to transfer thermal energy by heating one another.
About Thermal Contact
- When objects are in thermal contact they will reach thermal equilibrium where they have the same temperature as one another.
- To use a thermometer correctly it must be in thermal contact with the object whose temperature is being measured.
