Meaning
An MEDC is a more economically developed country which is relatively wealthy compared to other countries.
NB: Because exam boards are ridiculous, they can't agree on a single phrase for this concept. As a result AQA terms it an HIC (High Income Country), Edexcel refers to it as a Developed Country and OCR refers to it as an AC (Advanced Country). Note that MEDC is the only abbreviation that turns up at the top of a google search for the term without other words being added.
