Meaning

An opaque object is one that light cannot pass through. If an object is not opaque it is called transparent.

About Opaque Objects

An opaque object doesn't let any light through. You cannot see through an opaque object.
Some objects are more opaque than others. If they let only some light through they are called translucent.
