About Air Pollution
- Air pollution is usually caused by combustion:
- Carbon Monoxide is a toxic gas produced by incomplete combustion.
- Soot is a harmful particle that can damage the lungs produced by incomplete combustion.
- Sulphur Dioxide is a gas that dissolves in rain drops to form Sulphurous Acid making Acid Rain and is produced by combustion of Fossil Fuels that contain Sulphur impurities.
- Nitrous Oxides is a group of gases that dissolve in rain drops to form Nitric Acid making Acid Rain and is produced by combustion of Fossil Fuels that contain Nitrogen impurities.
