Gibberellins are a group of plant hormones that affect the growth and development of plant tissues.

About Gibberellins

Gibberellins can cause plant cells to elongate.

Gibberellins can affect the germination of seeds the formation of flowers and the size of fruit grown by a plant.

Using Gibberellins

Farmers use gibberellins to cause seeds to germinate. This can help them all grow at the same time, making it easier to harvest them all at once.

Gibberellins are also used to make fruit grow faster.
