Meaning
Deci is a Unit Prefix that means a number is 10-1 times the normal unit.
About Deci
Examples
- A decimetre (dm) is 10-1 metres (m).
- A decimetre cubed is the same as a litre.
Converting from Deci
To convert from deci to the base unit you must times by 10-1. \[63000dm = 63000 \times 10^{-1}m = 630m\]
\[3500dm = 3500\times10^{-1}m = 350m\]
\[940dm = 940\times10^{-1}m = 94m\]
\[93dm = 93\times10^{-1}m = 9.3m\]
\[4dm = 4\times10^{-1}m = 0.2m\]
