Meaning
Metres Squared (m2) are the scientific unit for measuring the area of a surface.
About Metres Squared
- Metres squared are shortened to cm2 with a lower case m and an indices of 2.
- A metre squared is the area of a square with sides of 1 metre each. Since there are 100 centimetres then a metre squared is 100 x 100 centimetres squared (10,000cm2).
