Meaning

An opaque object is one that light cannot pass through.

About Opaque Objects

An opaque object doesn't let any light through. You cannot see through an opaque object.
Some objects are more opaque than others. If they let only some light through they are called translucent. If they let all the light through then they are called transparent.
