Key Stage 2

Meaning

A diagram showing the different types of teeth.

Teeth are hard white parts of the mouth we use for chewing.

Singular Noun: Tooth
Plural Noun: Teeth

About Teeth

There are different kinds of teeth:
  • Incisors
  • Canines
  • Premolar
  • Molar
These teeth are all from the top of the mouth.

The incisors are sharp and cut the food you are eating. The canines are pointed to bite into and tear meat.

ToothMolar.png
The premolars are flatter than the incisors and are for grinding food like vegetables. The molars and wide so that they can grind vegetables.
