Meaning
In science we test an idea to find out something about it.
About Testing
Testing is how we can find out if something is true. We don't really know anything until we test it. You might think you are the fastest in class, but until you all have a race together, you don't know.
Examples
I did a test to find out which instrument makes the deepest sound. | I tested to see if the egg was rotten by smelling it. | My class wanted to test who was the fastest person so we all had a big race. |
