Key Stage 4
Meaning
Vasoconstriction is when blood vessels become narrower, allowing through a smaller volume of blood.
About Vasoconstriction
- Vasoconstriction of capillaries in the skin takes place during thermoregulation when the body temperature becomes too low. This reduces the amount of thermal energy lost via the skin to the surrounding environment.
