Meaning

The four seasons in a year.

A year is the time it takes for all four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter to happen. This is 365 days.

Singular Noun: Year
Plural Noun: Years

About Year

The new year starts on January the 1st.
A year does not take exactly 365 days so every four years there is an extra day added. This is called a leap year.

To make out calendars fit the 0.25 extra days each year we have a leap year every 4 years where a day is added to the end of February.
The seasons change over the year due to the tilt of the Earth.
