Meaning
A telescope is a scientific instrument used to make distant (far away) objects appear closer and larger.
About Telescopes
- Telescopes magnify the image of distant object.
- Some telescopes use convex lenses to refract light to focus and magnify an image of a distant object.
- Some telescopes use a curved mirror to collect and focus the light and an eyepiece lens to magnify the image.
