Meaning
Smoking is when someone inhales smoke from a cigarette, cigar or pipe.
About Smoking
- Smoking is addictive because the tobacco that is burned has a drug called nicotine inside which causes addiction.
- The smoke from tobacco also has other dangerous chemicals inside that damage your health:
- Tar - Which gets stuck in the mucus of the lungs damaging the cilia on the ciliated epithelial cells.
- Carbon Monoxide - Which takes the place of Oxygen in red blood cells stopping your blood from carrying as much Oxygen around the body.
