Meaning
A light gate is a sensor which can be connected to a data logger to measure and record the speed of an object and the time taken between light gates.
About Light Gates
Key Stage 4
Meaning
A light gate is a sensor which can be connected to a data logger to measure and record the speed of an object and the time taken between light gates.
About Light Gates
- Light gates use a LASER beam which can be broken to tell when an object passes through.
- The data logger must be programmed with the length of the object for the light gate to be used to calculate the speed of the object.
