Meaning
Follicle stimulating hormone is a hormone which causes follicles in the ovaries to grow and an ovum to mature and stimulates the production of oestrogen.
About Follicle Stimulating Hormone
- Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) is secreted by the pituitary gland.
- The target organs for FSH are the ovaries.
- FSH stimulates the ovaries to secrete oestrogen.
