Meaning
In science we test an idea to find out something about it.
About Testing
Testing is how we can find out if something is true. We don't really know anything until we test it. You might think you are the fastest in class, but until you all have a race together, you don't know.
Examples
- If you wanted to know which instrument makes the deepest sound you could play each one and listen very carefully.
- If you want to know if an egg is rotten you can test it by smelling the egg.
- If you want to know who can run the fastest you will test how fast each person can run by doing a race.
