Key Stage 4

Meaning

A cold front is point where cold air meets warm air.

About Cold Fronts

At a cold front the cold air sinks and the warm air rises due to the greater density of cold air.
Cold fronts cause clouds and rainfall as the warm air contains water vapour which condenses as the warm air rises.
