The Sun is a star at the centre of The Solar System.

You should not look at The Sun or it will damage your eyes.
All of the planets go around The Sun in an orbit.
The Sun is much bigger than all of the planets.
The Sun gives off its own light.
The Sun is one of billions of Stars in our Galaxy.

The Sun is a large glowing ball of gas that is heated by a nuclear reaction in its core.
The Sun radiates light and infra-red light that supplies energy to the Earth.
The Sun is the source of energy for photosynthesis.
The Sun is a medium sized star compared to others in the galaxy.

Meaning

The Sun is a main sequence star at the centre of The Solar System.

About The Sun

The Sun is a large glowing ball of gas that is heated by a nuclear fusion reaction in its core.
The Sun is balanced between the inward force of gravity which pulls it in to collapse and the outward force caused by the nuclear fusion of Hydrogen isotopes in the core.
The Sun radiates light and infra-red light that transfers energy to the Earth.
The Sun is the source of energy for photosynthesis.
The Sun is a medium sized star compared to others in the galaxy.
