Meaning

Follicle stimulating hormone is a hormone which causes follicles in the ovaries to grow and an ovum to mature and stimulates the production of oestrogen.

About Follicle Stimulating Hormone

Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) is secreted by the pituitary gland.
The target organs for FSH are the ovaries.
FSH stimulates the ovaries to secrete oestrogen.
