The amplitude of a wave is the distance between the peak of a wave and the midpoint of the wave.

The amplitude of a wave gives information on the intensity of that wave.

The greater the amplitude of:

• Light - The brighter the light.
• Sound - The louder the sound.
• Water Wave - The taller the wave.
