Meaning

Cartilage is a firm tissue in the skeletal system that is softer than bone.

About Cartilage

Cartilage is used to support the shape of some structures in the body including the nose, the pinna and the trachea.
Cartilage is found between the bones in a joint and is there to stop the bones rubbing together.
