Meaning

A continuous variable is a numerical variable which has any possible value.

About Continuous Variables

Continuous variables may have any number of significant figures or decimal places.

Examples

The height of different types of animal: The height of the animals is a continuous variable.
The temperature change during a reaction: The temperature at any point in time may have any number of significant figures so it is a continuous variable.
