Meaning

The contraceptive patch is a hormonal method of contraception used to prevent pregnancy which takes the form of a patch on the skin.

About the Contraceptive Patch

The contraceptive patch contains oestrogen and progesterone which inhibit the production of follicle stimulating hormone so that no ova will mature.
Each contraceptive patch lasts for 7 days before it needs replacing.
