The contraceptive pill is a hormonal method used to prevent pregnancy taken as a pill.
About the Contraceptive Pill
- Some contraceptive pills contain oestrogen and progesterone which inhibit the production of follicle stimulating hormone so that no ova will mature.
- Some contraceptive pills contain only progesterone which has fewer side effects than the mixture of oestrogen and progesterone.
