About the Male Reproductive System
- In mammals the male reproductive system is adapted to make sperm cells and give them to the female for fertilisation.
There are several organs in the male reproductive system that you should know:
- Testes - Where the male inserts the penis and where the offspring come out during birth.
- Sperm Duct - A ring of muscle that keeps the offspring inside until birth.
- Gland - Where the offspring develops before birth.
- Urethra - A tube connecting the ovary to the uterus allowing the ovum to travel to the uterus.
- Penis - This is where the ovum is made and stored.
