A muscle cell is a specialised cell which can change its length to allow a creature to move.

- Muscle cells have many mitochondria to provide energy for movement.
- Muscle cells have muscle fibres which can relax and contract to change the shape of the cell.

- All muscles in the body are made of muscle cells.
