Meaning

 
A diagram of a neuron including the myelin sheath.

The myelin sheath a group of cells which cover the neuron to prevent the impulse from passing to adjacent neurons.

About the Myelin Sheath

The myelin sheath allows the impulse to pass along the axon without losing intensity.
