A pitfall trap is a piece of observational equipment used to observe certain organisms within a habitat.
Pitfall Traps cannot catch flying animals because they would just fly out of the hole.
Pitfall Traps are used to catch small animals for study.
Pitfall Traps can be used to count animals to make an estimate of their population.
