Meaning

A pyramid of numbers is a diagram used to show the size of different populations in a food chain.

About Pyramids of Numbers

The pyramids do not always have the shape of a pyramid. Sometimes many small animals feed off a larger organism, like fleas on a cat or aphids on a bush.
