Key Stage 4

Meaning

A reading is when a single value is seen and recorded from an instrument.

About Readings

An ammeter, a thermometer and a ruler can be read to find a single value.
Two readings can be used to make a measurement.

Examples

The length of an object can be measured by using a ruler to take a reading at both ends of the object (eg 5.3cm and 7.6cm readings gives a measurement of 2.3cm long).
