Reversible Changes

A reversible change is a change which can be undone.

In a reversible change you can get back the substance you started with.

A change that cannot be reversed is called irreversible.

Reversible changes you should know are:

Making shapes with playdough is a reversible process.

Once you squash playdough into a new shape you can squeeze it back into the original shape.

Melting and Freezing are reversible.

A solid will melt and become a liquid. You can then freeze it to become a solid again.

Condensing and Evaporating are reversible.

When a gas is condensed into a liquid you can always evaporate it back into a gas.
