Key Stage 1

Science is when we look at the world around us and try to find out how it works. Anyone who tries to do this is called a scientist.

Key Stage 2

Science is the study of nature to help us understand the Universe we live in.

Key Stage 3

Science is the study of nature using the scientific method in an attempt to describe and explain natural phenomena. It is divided into Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Psychology.

Key Stage 4

Science is a systematic approach to collect data from observations and experiment in order to develop Laws and Theories about how the Universe works. It is divided into Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Psychology but each of these is further subdivided into specialist categories.
