Sieving is when you use an object with very small holes in it to separate small objects from big ones.

The Sieve you use must have the right size holes.

If the holes in a sieve are too small only liquids will pass through them.

If the holes in a sieve are too big then everything will fall through and nothing will be separated.

	You can separate the sand from the pebbles with a sieve.
