Meaning

Useful energy is the energy transferred to a device's intended purpose.

About Useful Energy

When energy is transferred, the total energy transferred will not all go into one store. Some will be transferred usefully and some will be wasted.
Useful Energy = (Total Energy transferred) - (Wasted Energy)
Useful energy can be used to calculate the efficiency of an energy transfer.
