Meaning

A diagram showing the 4 chambers of the heart with the ventricles at the bottom.

The ventricles are chambers in the bottom of the heart where blood leaves through arteries.

About the Ventricles

The heart has two ventricles. A right ventricle and a left ventricle
The right ventricle receives deoxygentated blood from the right atrium and pumps the blood out of the heart through the Pulmonary Artery to the lungs.
The left ventricle receives oxygentated blood from the left atrium and pumps the blood out of the heart through an artery called the Aorta which takes the blood to the rest of the body.
