An autotroph is an organism that makes its own food using inorganic molecules and an external energy source.

- Autotrophs usually make their food by photosynthesis in which Carbon Dioxide and Water are converted into Glucose using the energy supplied by sunlight. However, there are some organisms that can use other energy sources to make their own food.
