A circuit symbol is a picture we use in a diagram to show a component in a circuit.

About Circuit Symbols

We use circuit symbols instead of pictures because they are easier to draw and they are used everywhere in the world, even if the components look different.
Circuit Symbols should be drawn neatly and carefully with a pencil.
