About Data

Data can be a set of numbers, like the height of everyone in the room, or it can be descriptions like the properties of a material, for example; bricks are hard and rough.

Examples

A scientist measured the height of everyone in the room.
A scientist wrote down observations about the texture of bricks.

A scientist collected data on the heights of everyone in the room by writing down their height in centimetres.
