About Data
Data can be a set of numbers, like the height of everyone in the room, or it can be descriptions like the properties of a material, for example; bricks are hard and rough.
Examples
- A scientist measured the height of everyone in the room.
- A scientist wrote down observations about the texture of bricks.
Used in a Sentence
- A scientist collected data on the heights of everyone in the room by writing down their height in centimetres.
- A scientist recorded data on the texture of bricks, noting that they are hard, rough and opaque.
