Meaning
Gravitropism is a growth response in plants in which their growth responds to the direction of gravity.
About Gravitropism
- Gravitropism can be positive or negative.
- In the shoot system of plants the growth is due to negative where the shoots grow up from the ground.
- In the root system of plants the growth is due to positive where the roots grow down deeper into the ground.
