Measles is a disease caused by a virus.
About Measles
- Measles can cause a rash, blindness and brain damage.
- Measles can be spread in the air when people cough or sneeze where the virus exists inside small droplets of water.
- There is no treatment for measles so individuals must be quarantined immediately.
- There is a vaccination against measles which can prevent someone from becoming infected in the first place.
