Changes

In fertilisation the [[Sperm Cell|sperm cell]] uses enzymes in its head to get through the jelly coat of the [[ovum]]. The jelly coat then becomes hard, stopping any other [[Sperm Cell|sperm]] through. The [[Sperm Cell|sperm cell]] then goes through the [[Cell Membrane|cell membrane]] of the [[ovum]] and loses its tail. The [[Cell Nucleus(biology)|nucleus]] of the [[Sperm Cell|sperm cell]] is then released into the [[ovum]] and the [[Cell Nucleus(Biology)|nuclei]] of the [[Sperm Cell|sperm]] and [[ovum]] fuse to make one larger [[Cell Nucleus|nucleus]] with all the [[DNA]] needed to make a new [[organism]].
