About Vitamins

Vitamins are made by plants.
Animals get vitamins by eating plants or eating animals that have eaten plants.

Some vitamins you should know:

  • Vitamin A - Important for healthy eyes.
  • Vitamin B - Used in the nervous system.
  • Vitamin C - Used in growth and repair.
  • Vitamin D - Keeps bones healthy.

Foods containing vitamins

We should eat lots of these different foods to make sure we get all the vitamins we need.
