Meaning
An electrical plug is attached to an appliance to connect it to mains electricity supply.
About Electrical Plugs
- An electrical plug in the UK has three brass pins which fit into an electrical socket.
- Electrical plugs in the UK connect three wires, earth, live and neutral to the pins.
- In an electrical plug the live wire is connected to a fuse.
