Meaning
The live wire is one of the three wires in 3-Core and a plug that has a brown plastic covering and is held at a potential of 230 Volts.
About Live Wires
- The live wire is covered in brown plastic insulator.
- The live wire is the most dangerous wire in 3-Core and plugs.
- The live wire is connected to a fuse in the plug so that if too much current goes through it into an appliance the fuse will break and stop the current.
The live wire is attached to the fuse on the right, which is then attached to the pin on the right of the electrical plug. |
