Meaning
The left atrium is a chamber at the top left of the heart.
About the Atria
- The left atrium is separated from the ventricles by the Bicuspid Valve.
- The left atrium receives oxygentated blood from the lungs through a vein called the Pulmonary Vein and pumps it into the left ventricle.
